Rachel and Tyler: Engaged!

Jarrod: Class of 2010 Odessa High School

Brandon: Class of 2010 Central High School, St. Joe, Missouri

Matt: Class of 2010 Odessa High School

Britney: Class of 2010 Oak Grove High School

I have been so blessed and had the most amazing high school seniors this year! Not only have most been leaders in athletics, but they have also been incredible leaders in their church youth groups. They are such great mentors to the younger kids and make me so proud! Our church youth pastor and a wedding client both contacted Britney's mom on the same day and told her about me, so we knew our shoot was meant to be. Of course the day we chose for her shoot ended up being miserable cold! Britney was such a trooper and braved the conditions and it was SO worth it!! Doesn't she look amazing??? Despite the awful weather, we had a blast. Maddie even tagged along and served as my assistant and was helpful in saying some funny one-liners to get Britney laughing!

Chase and Drake: Funny Face!

I was so happy to get a call from Heidi asking me to do some photos for Drake's 6 month milestone! Heidi has such a beautiful family, I'm not at all jealous! Chase is an adoring big brother and Drake makes the cutest faces ever! I had so many great ones, but just not enough room to post them all. I can't remember when I've seen a happier baby, can't wait for our next photo shoot with him!!

Jude and the Broken Lollipop

Little Jude really wanted no part of hanging out with me and taking photos. He is always on the go and stopping to snap some photos was not on his busy agenda! His mom brought along a huge, colorful lollipop, which made me excited since it would be a fun prop! She handed it to Jude and he proceeded to throw it forcefully on the concrete!! So...we used the pieces of lollipop as a prop instead. Jude, you are truly an adventure!

Kristin and William: There's no crying in photography!!

First of all, I am generally a sappy person. I love mushy, gushy chick flick movies that make you cry. I often get teary when I'm shooting a wedding and have to fight back the lump in my throat. The thought of true love and soul mates finding each other and living happily ever after gets me every time. However, I have never had so many tears at a wedding as I did at Kristin and William's! It was insane! And it's very hard to see what you're shooting when your vision is blurred from all the tears swelling up! Kristin and William have been together since high school, then through college, and now have a beautiful baby boy together. They truly and completely love each other. They are amazing. I don't even have to wish them happiness in their new life together, they have already found it! Kristin and William, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It's one I will never forget!

Christian: Class of 2010 Wellington-Napoleon High School

I had a first at this shoot!  This was the first time I had ever gotten shocked by an electric fence! Christian and I went into the pasture to do some shots with their horses.  Once we were done, I was on my way out the gate and ZAP!!  No permanent damage, but I will definitely be more aware around electric fences in the future. : ) Other than that, I had such a great time doing Christian's senior photos.  I first met Christian when he played baseball on the same team as my oldest stepson.  I think they were only about 11 or 12 years old!  It's so strange to see how he's grown up and turned into quite a handsome young man. Even better, he's a really great kid who's got a great future ahead of him!  We did the photos at his home and there were some great backdrops, tractors, horses, hay bales, the '64 Fairlane and last but not least...the dogs! Check out the photo of Cheney, he's just adorable.

Catcher: Happy Puppy

Therese and Manuel: Married!

I'm working diligently this week on the photos from Therese and Manuel's recent wedding. Check back for more from their big day soon. This one is my absolute fav from the day, maybe even my favorite wedding pic to date! Love it, love it, love it!!

Brooke: Class of 2010 Odessa High School

Brooke and I spent a solid two hours yesterday doing her senior pics. We started out at the softball field, then the track and I got the distinct impression that Brooke was more of a sporty type girl and not into all the frilly stuff. She told me about her college plans, which also included sports, so it was quite a surprise when she changed into her dress and Miss Odessa crown! Not only is the girl absolutely beautiful, once she got into the dress she transformed into a candidate for America's Next Top Model!! This girl was workin' the camera like you wouldn't believe!!
And she really worked it out!!

I love this one...

Ok, Brooke, I don't hate you because you're beautiful!

Is this the most genuine smile, or what?

There's the sporty girl we love! We tried to do some photos on the fancy new baseball field, but it was locked!!

Kristin: Here comes the bride!

Therese: Here comes the bride!

I did some bridal pics recently for Therese, who is getting married Labor Day weekend.  We ended up getting stuck with a pretty hot and humid day, but Therese was such a trooper and it was SO worth it!!  I am so excited for her wedding, it should be a blast!
